Head Scarf’s

I love headscarfs; they are great for a quick fix! Also has a real vintage feel. Headscarf’s were use to keep your weekly set in place while doing house chores. So if it’s a Sunday or you’re going to meet your friend for a coffee then give it a go! This photo is of my friend (hope she doesn’t mind me using it!)

Summer fringe

The look that I’m giving my client’s for spring/summer is this grown out fringe. Do not think you have to have a fringe cut in and wait for it to grow out!! No no, basically I cut a side fringe in level to the eye, and then I cut a small section, eye level on the other side of the parting to give a strong look its cut blunt! I feel this look reminds me of a 60’s hippy.

ONE SHAMPOO OR TWO?

Why does a hair salon shampoo my hair twice?

The reason why your hair is shampooed twice is because the first shampoo is a cleansing shampoo that just cleanses the hair from dirt, excess oil’s and product’s. The type of shampoo that you can look for would be a deep or gentle cleansing shampoo. A shampoo that treat’s your hair type will be used for the second wash i.e.; scalp problems, coloured hair or naturally dry. Then towel dry the hair apply conditioner on mid length to ends, gently comb through and wash out.

It is important that you know what shampoo does what because if you get problems such as oil roots, you may be able to fix the problem with using the right shampoos!

INOA

INOA is the newest colour product by L’Oreal Professional, which is an oil-based permanent that respects the hair with up to 3 levels of lift and covers grey hair. This product is the latest in hair colour technology and is a new development for hair dyes. With no ammonia this product has no harsh smell, which is such a great thing. Instead of ammonia it uses a alkaline agent to keep the colour permanent, with its oil base keeping the hair feeling softer and without sacrificing results. The salon cost is about 10 percent more expensive than a normal permanent, but I think you’re worth it…!

HEAD BANDS

Chanel SS10 was bringing back head band’s, dressing the hair is so much fun with little effort, and puts a spring in your step.

This is somebody at London fashion week who I snapped is a good example for dressing hair.

I THINK YOUR TURNING GREY!

Louis Vitton and Giles Deacon are setting the trend with these grey and pastel tone highlights. Only worn on fashionista’s wearing the latest clothes, wearing your sloppy attire is never a good look. I think clip in extension’s are the best way to have this look, so you can decide when you wear the look!

PLAT'S ARE BACK.

I am so sporting the plat at the moment! I love that it is worn lose with texture. This is so easy to do and take’s no time at all so great when your in a rush and need a quick fix! (I’ve even done one on the tube dashing to a night out!)

Back combed or bed head hair is needed with mid length to long hair.

STEP BY STEP HIGH SEXY BUN.

Even though some of you may find this easy to do, here is a step by step for other’s who want some help! The look is not to be perfect so should take ruffley 10 minute’s.

1. First of all prepare the hair with mousse/dry shampoo or hairspray from root to tip! (Hair up stay’s up longer if texture is applied)

2. With head upside down using a flat brush, create a ponytail around the crown area or where ever the bun is desired!

3. Use a hair band to make a ponytail; do not worry too much if there are small bumps.

4. Gently backcomb the ponytail to create texture.

5. Twist the ponytail, then wrap around the hair band to create a bun shape.

6. Then you can use another hair band to securer the bun or use grips (bobby pin’s) make sure the grips grip the base of the ponytail and the bun.

7. Then to give a real textured look get a comb and gently comb the hair away from the bun to create soft ends around the hairline.

Dah dah, this is what I baked earlier!
